Written from the perspective of a single mother who lost her children, her career, her home, and her self worth through a gross manipulation of the legal system.
The United States’ legal system protects itself in a way that allows it to bulldoze victims’ lives with complete immunity. There is no justice for many while it shields itself behind the facade of being better than most systems existing in other parts of the world.
I tell this story for all of those who can’t, even though each word kills me all over again.
I acknowledge that my children were the biggest victims in all of this and carry the most pain, but it is not my right to tell a story from their perspective so I tell it from mine. I let them down, and they are the only ones to whom I apologize from the bottom of my heart for eternity.
I have changed the names and write under a pseudonym for them only. Everyone else should have their names alongside the theses posted on the church doors.
