“Revolt”
They say feminism is excessive
But I’ve been to a part of the world
That changed a man
As selling women was the norm
And expecting them to sit
Slightly intoxicated
Completely complacent
Was violently expected
Shaking their tits
When a joke was made
Of course she’s a good girl
For a couple of months
You’re paying her
To not have to suck his
You get the idea
Then spying on her
Like property
You know this isn’t right
As you travel in pods
And shame the western woman
For thinking she has a voice
Not anymore
We aren’t in the states
“You made me miserable”
You made me feel unsafe
You wooed me
While waiting for the final paperwork to be signed
I should have known better
But you found me already on the floor
The world is against me
Dramatic and extreme
Just like my story
I don’t want to be here
And the algorithms have kicked me out
For voicing that publicly
Because we can watch intestines being twisted
From the inside out
Only on the big screen
But facing our own grief
Is too much to bear
I am decimated
No one wants to hear
They are just getting by
But I’ve been fighting for my life
Since I took my first breath
I need a hand to hold
You’re not supposed to say that
I can’t stand on my own
Don’t dare say that
I’m going to die without love
We warned you twice
I scream at the night
It’s too much
It’s too much this time
“You’ve done it before”
Not like this time
I’ve lost too much blood
It’s dripping on the fucking floor
I can’t anymore
Face the light
Stop trying to fix people who hurt you
Heal from your wounds
Pay your fines on time
You can’t drive
We won’t let you get there
I’m flying blind
I want
I need
I close my eyes
