“Peace in Chaos”
I’m finally free from the chains of “what if”
Knowing there is no taking him back
Understanding he decided to live in his filth
And I can focus on politics and religion
And higher callings from within
Knowing love will find me
As I follow the truth
Knowing everything works out in the end
Knowing I always follow the truth
And I don’t follow wolves into their den
Anymore
I learned to let go
When fangs are shown
When intimacy is broken
And trust has been assaulted
I can take a beating
But I can’t take a betrayal of the heart
As temptations are pushed in front of my eyes
I look to the moon
And let out a war cry
I can lose everything
I’ve done it before
But love is love
And it can not be faked
It should be kind
And giving
And true
And selfless
And accountable
And redeemable
Through all of its faults
But once that is given to someone else
I don’t want it back
There is a person waiting to grow old with me
And I can’t wait to hear his stories
And love him as the world crumbles around us
As the universe caves in
